Sunday was an incredible and much anticipated day! It was a day the Toloha Partnership team has anxiously awaited and a day Daniel has been longing for almost 12 years! It was the day the first team departed from Kinston, NC to travel to Toloha Village in Tanzania to begin, what we hope to be, a long-term partnership. Last May we began meeting and actively seeking God’s face for how we could be a part of Daniel’s story and a part of what the Lord is doing in Toloha, TZ. As my mom and I were cleaning up the kitchen after dinner tonight I said: “I have got to have some water…I’m about to die of thirst.” I immediately stopped. I couldn’t believe I had said that. My thoughts instantly ventured to Toloha, Tanzania, where my friends are walking 12 to 16 kilometers (~7.5 to 10 miles) to get a bucket of dirty water. It is the core of why we are praying, working, meeting, deliberating and doing everything else that comes with this partnership. This statement is a test.
